Overview and navigation
- Overview tab: opens after loading data, with summary tiles and a colour-coded analyte × instrument grid. Click a cell for its chart.
- Header menus: Data, Export and Account menus replace the row of buttons.
- In-app messages: notices and confirmations appear in the app, and removing a result asks for a reason from a list.
Charts
- Westgard markers: results breaking a rule show a red ✕, warnings an amber ▲, on Levey-Jennings charts.
- One chart per instrument: side-by-side charts. Charts › Layout
- Linked views: open a chart straight from QC Review or the Overview grid.
Tables, theme and print
- Results table: Analyte and Level stay visible when scrolling sideways, instrument columns can be hidden, and there's a compact-rows option.
- Filter chips: active filters shown above the table, removable one at a time or with Clear all.
- Light theme and printing. Account › Theme Export › Print current view
Using sigma metrics
- Open Account › Settings and scroll to Quality specifications (beta).
- Enter a TEa % (allowable total error) for each analyte from your laboratory's chosen quality specification, for example EFLM biological variation, RCPA or CLIA. A TEa in the Default row applies to every analyte that has no value of its own.
- Click Save Specifications.
- Open the QC Review tab. The Sigma column fills in for every series that has a TEa and a Target/SD in the data.
Sigma = (TEa % − |Bias %|) ÷ CV %
Bias % compares the mean with the Target in the instrument export. CV % comes from the results in view, so it follows the current filters.

How to Use This Dashboard
▼1. Import Data
- Export your QC data from your instrument software as a semicolon-delimited CSV file
- Drag and drop one or more CSV files onto the upload area below, or click to browse
- Multiple files will be merged automatically
2. Review Results
- The Results Summary tab shows Mean, SD, CV%, and n for each analyte across all four instruments (AU/DxI-1 to 4) plus a combined column
- CV% is colour-coded: green (<5%), amber (5-10%), red (>10%)
- Click any value to see the full calculation breakdown and all data points used
3. Filter & Refine
- Use the Analyte, Protocol, and Date Range filters to narrow results
- Open the Instrument Exclusions panel to exclude a specific instrument for a single analyte
- The Charts tab shows Levey-Jennings control charts with SD lines and a CV% comparison bar chart
4. Export & Save
- Export XLSX — formatted Excel file matching the original QC Audit template layout
- Export CSV — plain CSV for further analysis
- Create Report (PDF) — generates a PDF with summary stats and results table
- Save Report — saves to the database so you can reload it later via Load Report

CV% Comparison Across Instruments
Bias and z-scores against the Target/SD columns in the instrument export, Westgard multi-rule checks
(1-3s, 2-2s, R-4s, 4-1s, 10x; 1-2s counted as a warning) and sigma metrics. Each result is checked against
its own Target/SD, so a lot change mid-period is handled. R-4s is applied across consecutive results of the
same level, because runs are not identified in the export. Uses the current filters. Click a row for the results behind it.
Sigma needs a TEa per analyte: set it under Account › Settings › Quality specifications.
Compares mean and CV% between two sets of results for each analyte, level and instrument. "Before/after
target change" splits each series where its Target/SD last changed (usually a new lot). A series fails when its
mean shift is larger than its lot shift limit (default ±5%, set per analyte under Settings › Quality specifications).
